In this episode, John from Oklahoma writes in with this question:
“I’m considering giving up my career and going full-time with my photography, but I’m a little bit scared about doing so. What sort of things should I consider before making the jump and going pro?”
We answer his question by giving him solid advice on the things he needs to think about when considering whether or not he should leave his job and do photography full-time. If you’ve been thinking about doing photography as a career, you won’t want to miss this.
We discuss ideas for expanding your photography business and finding clients in a way most people seemingly forget.
We talk about the decline of the portrait studio and the rise of the home studio.

We also take this question from Maggie in Florida:
“I heard it’s very important to be careful when moving your camera in and out of weather conditions such as moving it from a hot, humid environment such as here in Florida into a cold, air conditioned apartment or house. What do I need to know about keeping my camera safe? I heard that mold can grow inside your lenses and I’m a bit concerned about that.”
We answer Maggie’s questions giving her a surefire way to make sure this does not happen!
We also give advice on where to buy used gear and significantly reduce the chances that it has mold in it.
